what channel broadcasts F1 races? I'll be in Toronto the day of the Monaco race. Since it is early on Sunday morning when nothing else is open I have a feeling my wife will let me watch it. Where will I be able to do that?

Do Canadian cable networks get the American NBC station? If so I wonder if they'll carry the NBC broadcast of the race since the race is on NBC rather than NBC Sports.

We do have NBC, more than half of our channels are American. Chances you will get it. If not, to the internet!

I guess my underlying question is with TSN2 broadcasting the race will the local cable company somehow pre-empt the F1 programming on NBC and broadcast something else?

Can't say for sure, I think you will have a pretty good chance of having both channels , if it is on both channels you will have a couple viewing options. Probably be the exact same feed actually.

What typically happens when, e.g. Global is showing something e.g. Fox is showing is that the cable company cuts the Fox feed over to the Global feed for the duration of that show. So it's possible that you'd get the BBC feed that TSN shows instead of the NBC feed, on the NBC spot on the dial for the duration of the race. It might be different because of the Canadian broadcaster being a specialty channel, though.
